FYI--I am now getting 11+ min on my ECO 8 using 10 cells and a 1010/3 Aveox motor with 10 1700scrc cells. I replaced a 1114 motor with the 1010 and went from 7 min flights to 11 min. I made one flight using some NIMH Sanyo 2200 cells and got 13 min. The 1010/3 is lower rpm/volt than the 1114 but the ECO still performs very well. So for those that are thinking of a ECO--this setup works very well. Steve Neu
Here is the latest on my ECO--I am now getting 14 min 30 second flights with my 10 cell ECO8 chopper with a Aveox 1010/3 motor. This was with 2200 mah Sanyo NIMH cells(same size and weight as RC2000s). All flying was slow foward flight and hovering--I am still chicken to try fast foward flight. With a little luck and maybe some 3000mah cells--maybe 20 min flights?
