One more exciting test flight, this time on the KDE Direct 550 (TREX 550E V2 with all KDE Direct upgrades installed) to show off the performance capability of the full system. Kenny M. once again puts the helicopter through the absolute smackdown, high-power Extreme Flight Test. Watch the full video, and you'll get a chance to see the matched performance and optimized design of the motor to the CC ICE2 HV series controllers and governor algorithm.
Goal of flight was to show off the industry-leading performance of the new KDE Direct 600XF-530 HP Brushless Motor and the young-phenomenon pilot once again did not disappoint!
Keeping the motor loaded hard throughout the flight at 2500rpm, +/- 14 degrees of pitch (CC ICE2 HV80, 4.01 Beta Governor) resulted in unreal, nearly-unboggable performance. Not only is the performance unreal, but this flight is shown running only 520-class blades (EDGE Flybarless 523mm) and performance can be extended even further when running 550mm blades (just watch for clearance to the tail blades, hard 3D flight can cause an impact with 90mm tails).
