T8FG service Menu (successed)

Greate news for Futaba T8FG users.
After few days institude on T8FG firmware and it's tinyfs structures, I successed entered T8FG service

menu and access all service futures (most import function is stick recalibration).

(based on the hard study of ajd999 on helifreak forum. oringal link: http://helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=217886)

Here is the detail procedure.
1. Get a empty SD card. (zero fill it if nessesary)
2. Insert into T8FG and format the card as prompted.
3. Copy a model to the SD card. (no matter the name or the type it is)
4. power off the TX and put the SD into a SD card reader on your computer.
5. use any HEX edit tool (I'm using ultraedit) to open tinyfs.bin file on the root directory of the

card. (you may need to enable show hidden files on your explorer options).
5.1 make changes to following addressed.
00200: 23 (original 43, or 03 if card is empty)
02200: 02 (original 00 if empty)
06480: 00 00 1F 77 93 D9 00 00 00 00 00 13 00 01 00 00 ( original all 00 or FF )
82E00: 54 38 46 47 20 20 54 45 53 54 28 4E 4F 52 45 53 45 54 29 00 ( stands for 'T8FG TEST

(NORESET)')
* 82E00 maybe different for you card vendor or capacity(I'm using APCER 1G 60x SD card). To find this

address. Find hex string "54 00 38 00 46 00 47 00", (should occure only once if the card was proper zero

filled), the leading two bytes beforce the address occured the match hex string will be 00 00 or 00 01.

(depends the model type you just created or copied in step 3. 00 00 for air plan, 00 01 for helicopter),

at the beginning of 00 00 or 00 01, replace with "T8FG TEST(NORESET)" (note there were two spaces

betwin T8FG and TEST.)
6. Insert the card into T8FG and poweron. you will get into service menu. (don't touch the update switch

besides the SD slot)
7. do some interesting things

*** WARRING !!!! OWN YOUR RISK TO DO THIS, EVERY STEP AFTER STEP 6 MAY DISTORY YOU TRANSMITTER ***

in addtion to 'T8FG TEST(NORESET)' there are following different "filenames" maybe used to enter different service menus.

'T8FG  TEST(NORESET)' - Shows all service menus and allows making all the changes.
'T8FG  TEST(LIMIT  )' - Shows only a sub-set of service menus, with limited editing possibilities. E.g. Cannot change the product id, band, area...
'T8FG  TEST(RST SS )' - Don't Known SS stands for
'FX-20 TEST(RST SS )' - Do service FX-20, Don't know SS.
'T8FG  TEST(RST PCM)' - Don't Known detail, maybe reset PCM module locate
'FX-20 TEST(RST PCM )' - Do service FX-20, Reset PCM Module.
'T8FG  TEST(NOEDIT )' - Shows all service menues, but prevents any changes. Includes an RF test screen.
'T8FG  TEST(TELEC )'  - Don't known what's purpose
'T8FG SCREEN SHOT ' - A screen shot of TX can be made with SW-H. Screen shots are stored on SD card and can be extracted with ffs.exe tool.
'T8FG  TEST SHOT    '  - maybe simular to screen shot

T8FG 进入工程菜单 service menu 的方法
1. 准备一张空的SD卡（32M-2GB）(最好使用零填充工具全清零)
2. 插入T8FG，开机，按提示格式化
3. 拷贝任意一模型到卡里
4. 关控把卡插到电脑读卡器
5. 用十六进制编辑器(如hexedit/ultraedit), 打开卡中根目录 tinyfs.img 文件
5.1 在如下地址作修改
  00200: 23 (original 43, or 03 if card is empty)
02200: 02 (original 00 if empty)
06480: 00 00 1F 77 93 D9 00 00 00 00 00 13 00 01 00 00 ( original all 00 or FF )
82E00: 54 38 46 47 20 20 54 45 53 54 28 4E 4F 52 45 53 45 54 29 00 ( stands for 'T8FG  TEST(NORESET)')
注: 82E00 这个地址可能随卡的容量和品牌不同有所变化，按如下办法找到此地址，在上述文件中查找十六进制串”54 00 38 00 46 00 47 00", 应该只有一处查找结果，把此地址向前2字节，填上上述字串。
6.  把卡插回控开控，自动进入工程模式，无需拨动SD槽旁的升级开关。
7. (别乱动)

我也有發大致上次從我12FG去做些修改

插入你的SD 1G 或是2G記憶卡插8FG .用8FG格式化功能將卡格式化好...開一組新的模型寫入到SD卡..此時會產生一個文件在SD卡上Tinyfs.img.然後再將SD卡插上電腦上..用16進位軟體去編輯修改Tinyfs.img文件..修改位子如下
Tinyfs.img 檔案為隱藏文件請特別注意

00200 : 請將03或是43修改為23
02200 : 請將00修改為02
06480 : 請將此區段修改為 00 00 1F 77 93 D9 00 00 00 00 00 13 00 01 00 00
82A00 : 請將此區段修改為 54 38 46 47 20 20 54 45 53 54 28 4E 4F 52 45 53
82A10 : 45 54 29 00  字體區段會出現 T8FG TEST(NORESET) 這行字體

如果不是82A00 區段16進位碼不是 54 00 38 00 46 00 47 00  請搜索此碼..再將他修改成為 54 38 46 47 20 20 54 45 53 54 28 4E 4F 52 45 53 45 54 29 00 字體區段會出現 T8FG TEST(NORESET) 這行字體  這段區段.每張記憶卡大小不同產生的區段也不同..請特別注意

輸入字體區碼段如果修改別的還有其他公用

'T8FG TEST(NORESET)' - Shows all service menus and allows making all the changes.
'T8FG TEST(LIMIT )' - Shows only a sub-set of service menus, with limited editing possibilities. E.g. Cannot change the product id, band, area...
'T8FG TEST(RESET )' - Hard reset of the TX. All memory is cleared, total power on time is reset, product id is cleared, stick calibration is reset...
'FX-20 TEST(RESET )' - I don't have FX-30, so I never tried it. Don't know what it does.
'T8FG TEST(NOEDIT )' - Shows all service menues, but prevents any changes. Includes an RF test screen.

见page 6/9, LEFT/RIGHT/VR 分别进一次，按RTN后按提示, 先RTN确认中点，再遥动杆到最大和最小时RTN确认行程, 就OK了

T8FG 中立点校准具体步骤 (转wuxiwhy )

1、进入page 6/9后, 出现LEFT/RIGHT/VR，表示校正左边拨杆、右边拨杆、VR旋钮
2、先校正左边拨杆，按RTN后，光标停留在“LEFT”上，接着就出现NEUTRAL，将所有拨杆放回至中央点，按下RTN完成中立点校正；这时会出现WIDE，将左拨杆拨至右下角到底并保持（到底即可，别用力）的同时，按下RTN确认，接着校正左拨杆的的左与上行程，屏幕出现NARROW，将左拨杆拨至左上角到底并保持（到底即可，别用力）的同时，按下RTN确认，出现COMPENSATION完成，这样就完成了左边拨杆的校正。
3、光标停留在“RIGHT”上，右边拨杆的校正程序也是一样的。
4、VR校正，光标停留在“VR”上
NEUTRAL - 中立点校正
请将下列开关、旋钮保持正确位置
LD、RD旋钮：正中央中立点
LS、RS：中立点（有个刻度点请确认）
WIDE- 校正
请将下列开关、旋钮保持正确位置
LD、RD旋钮：向左转到底
LS、RS：往下拨到底
NARROW - 校正
请将下列开关、旋钮保持正确位置
LD、RD旋钮：向右转到底
LS、RS：往上拨到底

关机，取卡，再试试看，是不是好了，收工。

T8FG stick recalibration procedure.
1. goto page compensation 6/9
2. when curror on LEFT, press RTN, screen prompt "NEUTRAL", put left side stick on center postion, press RTN again to cofirm. Then "WIDE" displayed, move stick to right-bottom conner and press RTN to confirm max range. Then "NARROW" prompted, move stick to left-upper conner and press RTN to confirm min range. When "COMPLETE" displayed, the calibration was done.
3. Do the same procedure on RIGHT stick.
4. VR calibrate. When prompted "NEUTRAL", put all dials and slides at center postion. Press RTN to confirm. When Prompted "WIDE", put dials(LD,RD) on most left position and slides(LS,RS) on most bottom position. Press RTN to confirm. When prompted "NARROW", put dials on most right position and slides on most upper position, press RTN to confirm. "COMPLETE" will displayed to prompt calibration was done.

有8FG成功进入工程菜单的么？弄点简单易懂的教程出来啊。。。:em05: 先谢谢了啊。。。我用老外的方法失败无数。。。一直都是控要我格式化SD卡。。。修改完的文件是删除原文件的情况下保存进去的。。。然后也修改成了隐藏文件，可是还是一样控要求格式化。。。:em25:
